Kyocera was proud to sponsor a report by Economist Impact called “Transitioning to sustainability: employee perspectives on workplace practices”.

The study explores employee views on workplace sustainability in five global financial hubs: London, New York, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo. Based on a survey of 630 professionals conducted in late 2024, alongside a literature review and expert interviews, the report examines how junior employees and senior executives perceive and contribute to sustainability efforts.

The survey focused on three key areas of workplace sustainability:

  • Talent strategy – How recruitment, leadership, diversity, training, and employee activism support sustainability.

  • Operations – Reducing environmental impact through energy efficiency, waste reduction, technology integration, and remote work.

  • Business performance accountability – Integrating sustainability into performance management and reporting, and fostering transparency with like-minded partners and suppliers.
